


Trebor presents the ‘taste of sweet success’, a parody of the high-end world of fashion advertising in a tongue-in-cheek way. The idents feature absurd scenarios including a man wearing a white suit and swimming goggles standing in a fountain and a woman walking peacocks on a lead.
The 30“ shows our hero making his entrance at a masquerade ball, camera bulbs flashing. As he glides across the floor, everyone turns to look as he rips off his shirt exposing his ‘extra strong’ abs. Each scene is more ridiculous than the one before and the ad culminates with our hero levitating towards the ceiling in a flurry of rose petals announcing ‘Trebor. Sweet Success.’
The most awarded ad in the world’ said to the 2008 Gunn Report. ‘Gorilla’ took word of mouth advertising to another level.
These sweets are self-aware. They know they only contain natural ingredients and they discuss it in these charming, edgy ads.
This work got 7.5m YouTube hits and a place in popular culture. Not too shabby from an ad set to an ‘80s electro-funk track.
