We do lot of listening in planning meetings. When we had one with SCA, makers of Velvet and Cushelle, we were glad we had our ears open. That’s because we found out that they plant three trees for every one they chop down – and that they’re unique among their competitors for doing this. That was back in 2004, and ever since we’ve been running campaigns that have helped them take increasing market share from two of the most powerful UK brands (Andrex and Kleenex).
Our new ad uses stopframe animation and the Velvet tissue itself to create a zoetrope effect with over 3,000 individually cut paper frames.
Our campaign for Triple Velvet features the much-loved ‘Baby MD’ planting trees in a forest, demonstrating SCA Hygiene’s environmental commitment.
Fallon created the cuddly animated Cushelle Koala, hugging a paper roll, to promote the change of name from Charmin to Cushelle.
